Important Information
Please note: We only serve tastes — equivalent to about a 2 ounce pour. Pours will be limited to 1 pour per person, per location. Wine will only be poured into OGMA wine tumblers.
Here’s What You Need to Know Before You Go
Patrons are required to go inside of a participating Winedown location or store. Leaving the site drink-in-hand is fine — as long as you stay within the boundaries of the social district, which is considered the walkable business district in downtown Old Greenwich. Maps of the OG Social District will be available at downtown businesses and restaurants.
To-go cups are issued at the discretion of individual establishments. The owner, manager, or bartender has the right to refuse a to-go cup to any individual they believe may be in danger of being over-served.
Only one (non-glass) container will be issued per person over the age of 21 — sorry, no double fisting!
Please finish your beverage before entering another establishment.
How do I get OGMA wine tumbler?
Cups will be available at the participating stops in advance and day of the event. Stop by to purchase your wine tumbler ($10, cash only) and pick up an event map. Don’t forget your ID! Only those 21 and older are allowed to purchase wine tumblers.
Where should I park?
There is plenty of parking behind CVS, Sweet Pea’s and the MTA lot next to King’s Grocery store.
What about the kids?
Kids are welcome! For the safety of all the children, we ask that they be supervised in the parks and stores.
What if I don’t want wine?
Folks that don’t drink wine or don’t want to participate in the tasting are still welcome! We encourage everyone to come! There are plenty of great non-alcoholic options on every block in Old Greenwich.
Where’s the closest restroom?
We will not have any public port-a-potties for this event, however, ????? and Chillybear are generously providing public restrooms for this event.
Special thanks to our volunteers, business owners, supporters, and sponsors. We appreciate the donations provided by Sam’s Wine & Liquor, the Old Greenwich Wine Merchant and the Kings Food Market.
